Sam Dawson, Founder

Sam has 20 years experience in employee engagement, culture and people measurement for some of the largest organisations in the world and is seen as one of the leading figures in the industry. He has lived and worked in the UK and Australia and most recently led the Employee Engagement practice of a global consulting organisation. A business psychologist by background, he is a skilled facilitator, presenter, trainer and consultant who is dedicated to making work a better place.

Sam likes to remind people he has belts in a least 3 different martial arts (but has forgotten practically all of his best moves). When he’s not being a Dad, husband and owner of a small fluffy white dog, he makes time for exercise, meditation, electronic music, and good food. But not necessarily in that order.

Tugrul Bolayir, Project Consultant

Tugrul comes from an Organisational Psychology background with a wide experience in organisational culture, employee engagement and organisational change projects.

He has worked both in-house (client side) and in consultancy companies with organisations from a wide variety of sectors and industries. He is passionate about helping organisations to understand where they stand and how they can get to where they want by using his project management and insight consultancy skills.

During weekends, he keeps himself busy with sports, reading and travelling and he is a huge car enthusiast.

James Dalton, Consultant and Trainer

James has a passion to transform the world of work to make them great places to work for all employees, and to bring the associated benefits that are brought to a business through engaging, enabling and empowering people, leaders and companies.

James is one of the country’s leading experts in operational Human Resources and employee engagement and has integrated behavioural science into his ground breaking approaches. James also specialises in guiding organisations through complex change programmes, executive coaching and delivering innovative learning and development programmes.

Mark Walters, Coach, Facilitator and Trainer

Mark takes a lead in delivering our Grow solutions and truly has a wealth of experience. What Mark doesn’t know about management development isn’t worth knowing! He has provided management and organisational development solutions for 40 years and has worked in a wide variety of industries, large and small, both inside and outside the UK. His key skill is in enabling management teams to develop effective ways of working together, interpersonally and in tackling issues effectively and collaboratively. His areas of focus include creative thinking and problem solving, Influencing skills, negotiating, professional selling, coaching, facilitating team leadership and team working.

Mark has a hotel management background and still keeps his hand in by helping his wife run a seasonal guesthouse in Burgundy, although he would just as rather be walking, cycling and canoeing.

Louisa Setchfield, Operations and Project Manager

Louisa is Operations Manager for our partner, Blue Provident, in all things survey technology related. Louisa has 18 years’ experience managing employee engagement and culture surveys, many of which were for large global organisations with complex structures. Her specialties include: project management, account management, online survey set up and management, leading research teams, analysing survey results/data, managing quality processes and working with clients to build complex reporting hierarchies/structures for delivery of reports to managers.

Michael Gegg, Marketing and Community Builder

Michael is one of the best professional services marketers out there. Prior to supporting The Engaged Culture Company in building their marketing and community building strategy, Michael was the global head of marketing for Hay Group, a global management consulting firm.

Prior to that he spent five and a half years as director of international marketing for Kenexa (now part of IBM), a company he joined following its acquisition of UK-based Psychometric Services, Ltd. (PSL).

Michael has over 18 years’ experience in professional services, has led global teams and developed go-to-market strategies in countries throughout the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
